2024 Annual Leadership Conference

Peace, Love, and Special Olympics!

Join us for a GROOVY weekend, filled with sessions geared towards growing your program, connecting with your community, and more.

In addition, we will be having 2 pre-conference sessions on Friday afternoon from 3:30 – 5:30pm. Below are the links to register. You must register for these in advance and please only register for one.

  1. US Center Mental Health & Sport ACT! Certification: Special Olympics South Carolina is partnering with the US Center for Mental Health & Sport to offer ACT! Certification in a pre-conference session. The objectives of USC-MHS ACT! Certification are much like those of a first aid course for physical health. They teach participants the signs and symptoms of a mental health challenge and/or crisis, how to de-escalate a situation to avoid harm to oneself or others, and what pathways are available for additional professional support.

  1. Games Management Software (GMS) Training/Introductory Course: This is an opportunity for you to learn the basics of GMS to utilize for your local programs. Attendees will be asked to bring a laptop and download GMS prior to attending. A link will be sent to those who sign up closer to time. A more advanced training will be held as a breakout session on Saturday.

Clemson Polar Plunge

Join us for the 2024 Clemson Polar Plunge, benefiting Special Olympics South Carolina. This event, run by Law Enforcement Torch Run officers, is a huge fundraising effort that is critical in aiding our athletes. Proceeds raised go to help provide year-round sports training and competition for our athletes. Additionally, contributions and involvement in this great event help our athletes achieve their goals, live healthier lives, and have a sense of inclusion in the community.

We welcome you to take the plunge with us! Special Olympics South Carolina appreciates the continued support that these LETR officers show as well as the many individuals that will be “Freezin’ for a Reason” this Sunday!

A SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR PARTNERS
