We are gearing up for the 2026 State Pickleball Tournament on March 14th. Below you will find the Fact Sheet with address, schedule, and events offered. Registration is due 5pm, Monday, March 2nd.
Due to the change of date, we understand that some Head Coaches may not be able to attend. If you have athletes that you think can handle competition without you accompanying them and have parents and/or guardians that are able to chaperone them, please let us know. We don’t want an athlete to miss the opportunity. Please email Kelly Garrick at kgarrick@so-sc.org if you have questions. We will bring in Area Directors for their discernment as well.
Athletes can compete in up to 2 events- Traditional Doubles and Unified Doubles. If an athlete is competing in Individual Skills, then they may not compete in any other event. Please fill out registration with accurate assessment scores, levels, and partner pairings. Attached, you will find the assessment, mobility directions, rules, and court layouts for optional serve lines for Level 1 and 2. Don’t forget to get the unified partner’s score as well! For Individual Skills, the assessment score can be found using the skills assessment and score card that we will be using at competition. If you have any questions, please reach out.

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, join the compassionate army of truck drivers, as law enforcement officers escort the
Truck Convoy for Special Olympics South Carolina across the highways of South Carolina to raise awareness and funds for
Special Olympics athletes and change attitudes toward people with intellectual disabilities.
The Truck Convoy® is a national celebration of the trucking industry and its support of Special Olympics.
Truckers will meet at the grounds of the South Carolina State Fairgrounds, and will be escorted North then back
South, on I-77 in Columbia. On return to the State Fairgrounds, they are welcomed by the Special Olympics athletes,
families, friends, colleagues, law enforcement officers and supporters that make up the trucking industry. A lunch
celebration and activities will be followed by an awards ceremony held to recognize participating truckers and their
support of the trucking industry and Special Olympics. Whichever form the celebration takes, the message is the same:
“Thank you for your support of Special Olympics athletes and for keeping our communities moving!”
Families of all participants are welcome to share in the celebration and free lunch!
